Dear Sir

Capt R. S. Moore has a full company of Infantry now waiting your orders to March, he is very anxious to get marching orders as his company is among the first reported, and I earnestly request you that he may not be passed but may be among the first called into active service. I have no hesitation in recomending Capt Moore and his company to your favorable consideration and hope you will do the best you can for him. please answer this letter and very much oblige
