Col. This will present Mrs Rev. C J. Kents of Carlinvill who is a very estimabl citizen. of this State, Her son enlisted under Lieut Col Martin of the 97th Regiment Ill Vols with the understanding that he could Choose his Regemint when he should arrive at place of rendezvous. Mrs H visits you for the purpose of effecting the transfer from the 97th to the 122nd Regt for various reasons which she will explain to you.

If consistent with the rules of the service. I would request you to grant


her request. The young man is under age and his parents are very anxious to have him in a Regement where he would be associated with his friends.
