Governor.

              I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of August 20th, requesting the transfer of Privates Kelly and Simmons 27th Ills Vols from Madison Hospital to some Hospital in Illinois.  An order has been issued to transfer these Soldiers to Camp Butler, Springfield, under the impression that, that will be the point for mustering out the Regiment.
