          I was Enlisted in the service of the united States in Sept /62  My contract was to Serve in company B Stewarts Batt Indipendent Ills cavelry for the unexpired time of the company at which Time I was to be honerably discharged from the Service = My company has now bin discharged & I request you to cause a Special order to be issued from war department for My immediate discharge =
I am not tired of Serveing My government I would not make this request did not my circumstances in life compell me So to do = I consider that I am Justly entitled to an honorable discharge but would not ask it if My circumstances did not compell me So to do __ hoping you will view this in its true light I am very respectfuly your humble Sert
