Dear Sir

I now embrace this opportunity of addressing you and hope that I may receive an immediate answer. this subject - is this I am now in the 100 days Service of the 136 Regiment Commanded by Co Johns Our time is out and 10 days over I wish to be relieved as I wish to go home as my business and family concerns are such as to call my immediate attention and as I have faithfully discharged my duty I wish you as a Friend to relieve me as the 136 Reg has taken a vote on Staying 15 days over the time there were about 150 votes to stay and and the balance went against it So I no reason why we Should be kept in that way I have served in the war of 61 and 62 I am dissatisfied to be kept in such a way I will now Close wishing an immediate answer Yours Truely
