Dear sir-
W. A. Plummer a citizen of our County desires to go to Marietta Georgia to procure a furlough for Samuel R Riggs a Lieut. in Company F in Reg 116 Ill Vol---who was badly wounded near Atlanta and is now in a very critical condition he wishes to get him home the better to assist in his recovery any assistance you may render him will be duly appreciated

Dear Sir,
Mr William Plummer, is on his way to Atlanta, Georgia, in order to bring home Lieutenant Samuel R Riggs of Co F 116th Ill Vol. who is badly wounded & in hospital
You will confer a great favor on the friends of Lieutenant Riggs, by doing all in your power to aid Mr Plummer to get to him. Plummer is an old soldier and all right. This Comp will give 12 or [illegible] this fall.
