Glover, Cook & Campbell,

Law and Collection Office,

Ottawa, Ill., Sept 19th 1864

To his Excellency Gov Yates,

Dr Sir,

I had a conversation with Secy Stanton last week, he told me that all the Ills Soldiers who were in Hospital or unfit for active service should be furloughd until after the Election. That lists should be furnished to him from this State. In Indiana measures are being taken to make out such lists. In order to do so I suppose the Hospitals should be visited by a good man. It would require several men probably. I could furnish one to look after the Soldiers of this Dist

Please let me hear from you on this subject

Yours Truly
