The undersigned citizens of this place, desire to recommend to your favorable attention Mr Lewis Wright, formerly a private in Co. "C" 63 Regt. Ill Infty, now transferred to the 1st Battallion of the Invalid Corps. He is a young man whose health failed in the Service but he is so far restored as to be deemed fit for Invalid Service. He is poor in circumstances, but of good character, good habits, and worthy of confidence and promotion. We recommend him for a Lieutenantcy, and hope you will be able to
give him the position
