I write to request your action in behalf of a widowed mother whose son lies wounded in a hospital in Louisville, Ky. Exchange Barracks

He has served his country 3 years was Wounded at the battle of Resaca Ga.

Her son is the only source of her support and she prays that you will take such steps as will


as will insure his speedy discharge He has reced no pay for the past 10 months which his mother needs to help her as she is feeble & not able to support herself. You would confer @ favor to gain the lasting gratitude of one of the mothers of of our noble defenders of our country

My sone was onley 14 years old 17 years old when he went into the servis he is my onley sone he was wounded at the batel of Corinth in his left arm but did not leav his company he did lite duty for 6 months he wase wounded agane May 14 in the back of his neck in which cases a misarey in his hed and eyes I dao not draw aney suport from the country I hav supported my self partley by my neadel I hav bin sick this sumer and fall I am not able to support my self longer pleas informe me whether thare can be aney thing done for me you will oblige me in in distress
