There are indications of such a combination as you refer to---on Logan probably of the disappointed & malignant par exampla---Abbott of Alton Prov. Marshal & Bob Smith who is loud for "War Democrats"!

I will see the Bond Madison & Washington Co members if at all necessary. I have assurances very reliable that the first is all right. I think I can reach the Second thru Metcalf and the Washington man through Quick. Tom Quick who by the way is a host. Write him at Irvington Washington Co.

Quick who is a "Host"---lives at Irvington &c---and the Madison man through Metcalf
