Description
The abandoned hospital stands in ruins at Fort Davis. The United States Army used Fort Davis as a military post during the Indian Wars from 1854-1891. The 9th and 10th United States Cavalry regiments, more commonly known as the Buffalo Soldiers, were stationed at Fort Davis between 1866 and 1890.
