Dr Sir.

Your letter of May 26th addressed to Gen. McArthur has been handed to the Regiment for reply. no discharge is required for the three month's service. You filled your Contract with the Government and they filled their Contract with you. there is no bounty accruring to three months men.

You as a Soldier wounded at the battle of Fort Donelson Entitles you to full pay up to the date of your discharge. $100.00 bounty and a pension according to the amount of your disability. It is with pleasure that the Commanding officer of this regiment gives the Accompanying Certificate
