Dr Sir

Mrs. Mary Kelp of our place has a husband Sick in the Hospital now at Louisville Ky. He is of the 9th Reg. has been sick three months & cannot get home. She is very anxious to go & see him and requests me to ask you for a "pass". The lady is poor & has been supported by our citizens since her husband enlisted and if it is customary, or consistent for you to give passes in similar cases please send one for her and oblige
