I am anxious to know where my son is - he was a recruit in an artilery Company under Capt Philips and I have heard that he went to Maryland his name is George Henry he is 17 years of age he left Paris Edgar Co in a three months company to Springfield Ill and there enlisted as above stated and went East into Maryland he has not written to me since he left. I am anxious to learn the Regiment he is in and whether he is alive or a prisoner please write to me at Paris Edgar Co Illinois & Oblige yours
