Dear Governor.
In the 119th Regiment at Quincy - is a brother of our good friend James Stark of Augusta - William Stark a private in Company K. he is a very good man and will qualify for the position of Adjutant of the Post at Quincy and himself and friends desire him to have the place. If his Regiment remains at Quincy for the Winter and it is in your power to have him detailed or appointed as adjutant of the post it will serve your friends and be Considered a favor by your old friend James Stark.
