In reply to your communication of the 18th inst. in relation to Lieut Col, J.W. Paddock, of the 113th Regt Ill. vols, I regret to inform you that he died in the officers Hospital, on 18th inst. A leave of absence was made out for him but he was unable to avail himself if it.
