I beg your assistance to get a leave of abcence for a sick soldier that is at Chesnut Hill Hospital Pa
He is one of the 12 Ills Caverly Co F and his is N L Mitchell and has been there since June the 12 and is not able to do eney thing and will not be soon if he stays there but if he could get home a while I think he wold get well and be able to join his Company again and do service again and he is as good a union man as is for he says down with the Coperheads and up with unian again
Now Honor Sir if you wil use your influance to releive him I hope he will get well For we will want his vote next Fall to help elect Abraham or some other as good
I was at your ofice this morning and you was abcent but your man sayd to wright to you and it be as good as to see you myself so No More at present but Remaind
