Dear Sir
Having been discharged from the 93th Reg Ills Vols Infantry as 1st Lieut of Co E on account of disability and not able to stand the fatigue of field service and I think I could seve in the invalid Corps and do my country some service in that Branch of the service and relive one that could serve in the Field. Under these circumstances I will offer my self for a commission as Capt in the Invalid Corps if Your Excellency see fit to commission me to that office
