John M. Snyder Dear Sir.
Please confer a favor by handing the enclosed to Gov. Yates, and oblige one who will never miss an opportunity to confer one on you. As I am anxious on the subject. I hope you will please see that it reaches his hands, and is not suppressed by intermediate officials, I take this course, knowing that the Governor would not be apt to give it the attention I would wish, were it directed to him, amid a multiplicity of other correspondence.
