Transcription

An agreement made Between Robert S. Todd and Benjamin Clarke both of Fayette County witnesseth that the said Benjamin Clarke hath rented of the said Todd, the place occupied by the said Benjamin Clarke for the last year, commencing on the first day of January last, for and during the Term of one year from the said first day of January for which the said Clark binds himself his heirs &c to pay unto the said Todd on the first day of January next the sum of one hundred Dollars, and also to leave the said place in as good order at the said time as it now is, and to commit no waste or destruction of Timber, and to cut down no trees, but for making rails.
