Dear Sir
I herewith enclose you a Pamplet on the present Crisis to which I would call your attention. It was written and taken to the press in Nov last but owing to the bad health of the Authur - who has been lying seriously ill for many weeks - its publication has been delayed Much beyond the time that it should have made its appearance
As the Author is now Convalescent with a fair prospect of recovery he would like to make arrangments to give it an extensive Circulation
especially throughout the disloyal portions of the west.
He would Call your attention particularly to the Apendix & if the views therein advocated harmonise with your own Sentiments - in the main - he would be pleased to have your endorsement of the work for his Circular
As the Author was unable to Correct all the proof which had to be left to the printers it contains Some Typographical errors, which will be corrected in Subsequent issues
