Hon: S. Cameron Secy of War.
N.B. Buford, a citizen of Rock Island Illinois desires a commission in the Army.
He graduated at West Point in 1827. was a lieutenant of Artillery eight years. For two years he was assistant Professor of Natural Philosophy at the Military Academy of the United States. He resigned in 1835 to accept a Civil Engineers appoint-
ment in his native state, Kentucky.
He has been for many years an enterprising citizen of Illinois, a merchant, a President of a Rail Road, and a Banker.
We recommend him as worthy of a military appointment.
