Seeing your Proclamation calling for a Regiment for State Service. and having served in "three months" service and in the Three Years service. I would now offer to raise a Company for that Regiment if you authorise me to recruit among the 100 Days men now on Rock Island. Allow me to refer you to Hon. Judge Gould, Banker, Moline, Ills. Rev. L. C. Carr, Jerseyville Ills. J. S. White, Examining Surgeon Jersey Co. Ills. Mr. Wm. Gill, upper Alton, Ills.
