Danville Ills Nov 15th/64
His Excellency Gov. Yates,
Sir:
You will greatly oblige me, if you will renew the enclosed pass, which the sickness of my sister has prevented our using, until the time for which it was given has expired.
I am sorry to trouble you, whose whole time is so fully occupied by the weighty duties of your office, but both our husbands are in Nashville, and we are very anxious to join them, and would have done so before this but for sickness. If you will be so kind as to renew this pass you will confer a lasting obligation upon me. Yours respectfully
Mrs C A Savage.
