                                 Jeffersonville, Ind., December 5. 1864.

Sir:

    I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your communication of the 26th (enct?)., requesting transfer of various Ills. soldiers to General Hospls. in that State, and respectfully report the following as the disposition made of their cases:
     Isaac J. Ogle, Co. "D", 50th Ills. Vols. - transferred to Mound City, Ills., (Sor.?) 29th. Copy of your communication forwarded to Surg. in chg. Genl Hospl., Dec. 3rd.
     John B. Putnam, Co. "B" 50th Ills. Vols - will be transferred to Quincy, Ills., tomorrow, Dec. 6th.
     Thos S. Gardner, Co. "E", 7th Ills. Vols., transferred to Madison Indiana, Dec. 1st.  Copy of letter referred to Surg. in chg. Dec. 3.
     Samuel Harry, Co. "B", 7th Ills. Vol. - is not a proper case for transfer as he will be likely to be fit for duty in the field in 10 days.
     Aaron Walkins, Co. "H", 7th Ills. Vols. transferred to Mound City, Ills. Sor. 29th. Copy of communication referred to Surg. in chg. of Hospl. at that Post, Dec 3rd.
