   To. His. Excellency Gov Yates

   I penn you a few lines whitch I hope may receive attention from you.  I have been sick for some time. ever since Sept./63. I have been in the hospital since last may I came here to this hospital the 14th of Sept./64. and have never had an examination and I think I had ought to have a discharge as I am not able for to due any duty and never will be while I remain here I am no better now than I was a year ago and if it is possible I would like to have a discharge.
