P.S.
Should you have an appertunity while distributing favours among your friends have at your disposal a position with fair Remuneration will you remember your friend James Henderson he has been my principal Clerk ever since I have held the office of Assessor for this district he is a faithful and Industrious man with Excellent business capacity. Speaks fluently the French & Spanish Languages and would make an Excellent Consul at any Point where these languages are spoken or he would make an Excelent
Register of a land office If you could Secure some such position for him it would be gratefuly received and appreciated and its duties faithfuly attended too, he has been throughout all these troublous times an unswerving union man - as for myself I ask nothing but "to be let above"
