To the Hon. Richard Yates, Governor of the State of Illinois, Greeting.

The undersigned Citizens of Mason County State of Illinois being personally acquainted with Mrs. Ingraham, the applicant for a discharge of her son Norman Ingraham who is a private in Company H 106th Regiment Illinois Vol. in the Army of the United States, and is her only support. She is a widow with two small children (Girls) nine and six years of age respectively and no means of support only that of her said son, Norman Ingraham.

She prays that your Honor will use your influence in obtaining a discharge for her son, Dated at Mason City, Ill. this 2nd day of Sept, A. D. 1864.
