Honored Sir.
Will you have the kindness to furnish me, with the name of the Captain, who commanded Company G. 32nd Illinois Infty Reg. on or about the 22nd day of April 1864. The reason for asking for this information is, I am about to make application for the bounty and back pay of John C. Wallace a Veteran Volunteer who was killed at Crestline Ohio on his way from his parents at this place to army. his parents are poor and are in want. I am a minister of the gospel and do this, to save them from the unprincipled men, who feast upon the bounty of our gallant men. and am entirely disinterested
The said Wallace was a member of Compy G. 32nd Illinois Infy by complying you will oblige his aged parents and
