Dear friend if I may consider you as
Such and I think I can do that
now I have one request to make of
you which I dont think you Can
deny me as I am in a great deal
of trouble atthis time Conserning the
draft I am here with five litle
girls and no one to do any thing
but my sonen law and he has
very poor health he was in the
three months servis and was not
well al the time he was their and
has never bin stout since he
is all my dependance to help raise
my little children and Iwant you
if you please to send me areprieve
so that he cant be taken from
me to the war for I no ef he is
taken away from me I am bound
to suffer far their will be no one
to help me raise my poor little
girls my helth is very bad and
I want you to take pity on me
and clear him of the war for
my Sake all the son I have is
In the army and one of my
sonen laws died their and now
I beseach you to send me areprieve
for him he is agood union man
and I no he could never stand
Soldieren we live in aneighbourhood
of Coperheads and they say you
wont reprieve him but I believe
you will for I am aunion woman
and always expect to be now govener
if you will Clear him of the
war ishal regoice atit and no that
I will have some one to help me
in this world now honerable govnar
if you will do this send his reprieve
