Sir As A poor Crippeled Solder of my cuntry. Voaid of my right arm. it is cut of at the Sholder. wich makes it neserysary for me with out muney without frends. aff to rite for A favor from one wich he and he alone can grant i am Honerabley Dischargd from the 20 endieania infentry Co Dischardge from the Hospitial at Philidelphia on the 14 Day of March 1864 i am in Jale chardge with Steeling a coat Valyoud at 7 Dolers wich the Said coat i picked up on the Sideworlk if it was Stolen i cannot helpt that butt i found it on the Side worlk and i am under A 300 Doller bail wich i could not give i am a Stranger in this citty i have only been hear 4 Days so you see i got no frends
so hoppin your honner will please to help me in this case as you see Best i remane a Solder and frend to my Country
