Lieut Geo S. Wright, of this City desires the appointment of Major of Col Winslows Regiment.
I have known Lieut Wright for a number of years, and I am satisfied that he would fill the post with credit and honor, and his appointment will meet the approbation of our community and further I shall feel under personal obligation for this appointment
