Allow me to apprise you of "Secesh organization here which meets every Saturday night and have elected their officers and are are about to apply for arms as an Independent military company

They already number over 200 every mothers son of whom are as vile traitors as Jeff Davis himself. These lines are merely to advise you of the fact so that they may not be able to secure arms from the State for the purpose of using them against loyal men. Judge Jurney Robert Dawson Mrs Galliher Logan Jones Charles Wimple and Richard Lloyd are the leaders of this infernal crew who are composed mainly of Irish and Germans. John A. Warren the Post Master here can always give you reliable information in regard to this county - we have entire confidence in the auspicious result of this wicked rebellion. Excuse the liberty I have taken and in haste I subscribe myself truly yours &c John P Boise
