Dear Governor

I see by the news papers that there is an order for organising five Regts- four of Infantry and one of Cavelry in this State for Protecting the State.

now if this is the case I hope you will [giresses?] of Egypt a Show and allow us the Cavelry Regt- This is what you will bear in mind I have been Contending for ever since this was began and I have written you often on the subject. I see and feel the [necepaty?] of same force to Protect this part of the State as mutch yet as I ever did Hoping this will be done I have the Honor to Remain your friend and obedent
