My Dear Governor,
I have secured rooms for you at Fremont House. I had a long talk with Genl Fuller after leaving you. Although he did not say so in express terms, yet I am satisfied, that he is very anxious to secure the Nebraska Judgeship, And is also equally anxious to have the Department Heads office, if an honorable way of escape was opened to him. He is coming up with you, on Monday night. Talk with him & you will
come to the same conclusions that I have. Our interview was very friendly, and at its close Fuller remarked that our friendly relations Could not be disturbed: that our interests politically, are identical & c & c. I hope to see you on Tuesday morning.
Very Truly
