Dear Govenor
We do business at 224 South Lake Street under the impression that you are not personally or by repute acquainted with us permit us briefly the great honour of introducing ourselves to you as Union Men, as administration men, as War democrats, through and through, dyed in the wool, & each and all for Govenor Dick Yates from this time out for any office in the gift of the People or anything like your excellency may want at our hands, or our admiration & respect for you can [depend?]. Our old friend Genl Jackson's veto of the U S Bank bill pales in our esteem to your noble & high minded proroguing of this infamous Legislature & the consequent Killing of their infamous fraud the Wabash RR Bill. A measure which doubly endears you to us as a statesman & high minded uncorruptible official accept Governor our warmest thanks & sincerest esteem & believe us Truly Yours
