Sir I have the honour of asking you if please to attend to that letter which you gave us in Peoria concerning that furlough to Geneseo untill we can vote we are old Soldiers and have our three years in the 9th Illinois Cav and now we want the priviledge of going home to vote, our names is in that letter which Capt Key has that you gave us Please lett us go we will pay our own way the whole five of us is for good old Abe you will find us in the Substitute Camp let us know
