Your favor 12th last recd with that which shall honor the album of Mrs T in future
I can say that I have ever felt proud that I bore some humble part in placing you in the Executive Chair and to your effeciency the State owes much of its present prosperity and happiness.
And I have no doubt but the State through its Representatives will endorse the past by sending you to Washington for Six Years as Senator from the great and glorious State of Illinois I hope Soon to have the pleasure of meeting you in the City of Springfield when I shall more fully express my views and feeling upon this Subject
