Sir,
Being desirous to furnish all the Regiments now in field with copies of the above patriotic work, known to you, which is written with the intent, constantly to rekindle patriotism, - but not knowing the names or numbers of all the Regiments of your State I respectfully ask the favor from you, to furnish me at your earliest convenience with a list of all the regiments of your State, giving their number or name, the name of the Colonel, if Infantry, Cavalry or Artilry, and the principal Post-Office, whereto letters and packages to the regiments may be directed.
