Description
An exterior view shows Ulysses S. Grant's log cabin located at Old Orchard Park near St. Louis.
On verso: "General Grant's Famous Log Cabin. Built in 1854 of logs hewn-by General Ulysses S. Grant, the corner prominent in this picture having been joined and fitted by him in person. This cabin was originally located on the Dent farm, situated in St. Louis County, about ten miles southwest of the city of St. Louis, but has been moved and is being preserved by the owner at Old Orchard Park, within one mile of St. Louis, on the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway. This cabin was the home of Gen. Grant and his family for several years."
