Governor,

I beleive after further reflection, that very few of the Illinois Regiments have received their Colors.

I have called upon one very good house here, who have given me prices for Regimental and National Flags, which I enclose with their card. One of the firm is going to Saint Louis Sunday night, and I have requested him to stop over one train at Springfield, and submit to your Excellency samples of material, and make some suggestions which I have discussed with him.

I will make further inquiries before he leaves, as to prices at other places.

I have the honor to remain

Very Respectfully

Your Obt Servant

Joseph H. Tucker

To

His Excellency

Rich. Yates

Governor of Illinois
