My dear Sir

Your letter received My season will be at least nine and probably eleven months

I would much prefer your naming the salary with one-a third clear Benefit. I will play quite a number of stars but desire to produce two or three spectacles

I feel assured the position will be very pleasant and agreeable to you and one that you will willingly retain for a number of years I cannot however give any large salaries and

my theatre though very popular is quite small and my seasons generally commence where the previous one ended

Write at your earliest convenience stating times and I will promptly reply

Truly yours

Jno T. Ford

Balto May 9th/58

If you should see our friend E. L. Davenport ask him if he can act a week in Richmond for me commencing May 24th or 31st
