BOOTH’S THEATRE,

23d Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues,

New York, June 2d 1869

Mr. H.W. Bryant

Dear Sir,

Pray forgive my delay in acknowledging yr very kind letter. I have barely time to attend to the many business communications I receive. The two portraits you speak are already in my possession – that of my Father hangs in my green-room among a host of others. Never-

the-less – I thank you, and hope when you visit New York you will call at my theatre. By sending yr card, with a word to remind me of the “subject now under discussion”, I will be pleased to show you the green-room with its collection of Dramatic Worthies.

Very Truly Yours

Edwin Booth
