My dear Mrs Orne-
After six weeks absence from town, I returned last evening & amongst my package of letters, I found one from your dear, kind self. I can scarcely express the pleasure, I feel, to think that you are
so near-but yet the sad thought will intrude itself, lest you may not be still at Hamburg. I write this, hoping for the best. If you are still at H please telegraph me "yes"- simply- I will understand. Address me, Hotel de Holland, room 72--My young son, has Thursday-
afternoon to himself, so if you have not left which I devoutly trust not, we will run out to see you, about 3 - P.M- of that day. If I could leave earlier, I would do so- I am so impatient to see you-With much love & in great haste, I remain always affectionately yours,
Mary Lincoln
