W. H. Kirkland Esq

Dear Sir

The sun never appears more radiant than when he bursts from behind the cloud; and our political sky will be all the brighter, when the dangers which now threaten, shall have passed away. This nation sprang into being and has prospered under the blessing and guidance of God. Its mission is not yet fulfilled, and until it is, faction cannot weaken, treason destroy and even the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

Respectfully

Rich'd Yates
