play she performed

the purpose. Mr
[Brigham?] has kindly
undertaken to investi
gate the matter
at my request -
but is unable to
obtain any satisfactory
information. Is
there any truth in the
rumor? - if so, I should
like to know more about
so grand & noble a scheme.
