Sir: This will be presented by Mr. Daniel [Sheremain] of Scott Co Illinois whose son Saml H. Scott of the Co C 28th Regt. Ills. Vols. is said to be confined, sick, under your charge. Mr. S is a worthy and loyal man. and if consistent, I desire that you will give his son afurlough to visit home to recruit his health.
