I See by the Chicago Tribune that Gen. John W. Palmer is to Speak in this place on the 20th Inst. which is all Right. We are going to have a big Rally in this place on the 29th Inst. & Especially amongst the Soldiers & we want you here on the occaision please write to me immediately on the Receipt of this whether you will come Gov. you must come if it is possible one of our candidates for Representative is a Little tender footed on the Subject of U. S. Senator but that can be made all Right I have Just got home & am making it my Especial business to attend to Such cases. answer the above & don't Say No. Your friend certainly
