Hon governer R. Yeats sir with much respect permit me to inform your honor in the case of my grand son who has laid in the Hospittle in the field about fifteen months and now in Camp Butler about five months and is no better then he was one year ago he young and his diseas was caused by enduring too heavy a pressure acros his brest and am satisfied he will never be able for service any more you will pleas see to his case and have him discharged his name is Alexander Payne and oblige your obedient servant Samuel Ewing
