The Bearer of this Mr Gustav Garn of the 82 Ill. Volunteers now in the Invalid Corps contrary to his wishes and his Regiment being in the Southwest near Chattanooga he desires to be transferred to some hospital in Illinois on the line of approach to his regiment. Having done for him all that as a private individual I can do I desire the Executive of our State to take such action as will make some reasonable provision for the soldiers who have confided their interests to the Government while they have taken their lives in their hands for its protection.
